AmeriHealth New Jersey supports HomeFront with largest donation drive in company history

Cranbury, NJ, May 30, 2019 — AmeriHealth New Jersey recently hosted its largest donation drive in support of HomeFront, a local nonprofit whose mission is to break the cycle of poverty and end homelessness in Central New Jersey.

AmeriHealth New Jersey Associates contributed a record number of donations including everything from non-perishable food items to personal hygiene products, which will help the more than 23,000 Central Jersey individuals who rely on HomeFront for food bags and other necessities each year.

“The services and resources HomeFront provides are critical in helping individuals and families across Central New Jersey who are experiencing economic hardship,” said Mike Munoz, market president for AmeriHealth New Jersey. “We commend their dedication and are proud to help further their mission.”

HomeFront has a comprehensive service model providing homeless and at-risk families housing assistance, tools for self-sufficiency, children’s enrichment programming and all the essentials, so families can live a life of dignity.

“We can’t thank AmeriHealth New Jersey enough for their continued support ─ especially during the Summer when donations tend to decrease,” said Suki Wasserman, community engagement coordinator for HomeFront. “With their help we will be able to make a real impact and anticipate the donations provided will benefit approximately 200 families in Central New Jersey.”

Earlier this year, AmeriHealth New Jersey was recognized by the Commerce and Industry Association (CIANJ) as a 2019 Company that Cares for its work with HomeFront.
