AmeriHealth New Jersey and Kennedy Health Alliance Implement Quality Program As Part of New Contract
Cranbury, NJ - July 11, 2013 - AmeriHealth New Jersey today announced it has reached a new contract agreement with Kennedy Health Alliance. The new agreement includes newly defined quality measures in an effort to improve patient care and lower medical costs.
The new measures are aimed at reducing potentially preventable readmissions through enhanced clinical discharge management. In addition, there will be a heightened focus on ensuring preventative care is consistent throughout the various clinical practices in Kennedy Health Alliance.
Under the new agreement, AmeriHealth New Jersey and Kennedy Health Alliance have committed to continuously evaluate and gauge the effectiveness of the measures, which will allow them to establish valuable benchmarks and also to make necessary changes on an ongoing basis to assure program success.
