Two AmeriHealth New Jersey Associates Named Healthcare Hero Finalists by NJBIZ for Dedication to Volunteerism
Cranbury, NJ – June 4, 2015 — Two AmeriHealth New Jersey associates have been named Healthcare Hero Finalists by NJBIZ in the Volunteer Hero of the Year award category. Koreana Iman-Sample, product manager and Regina Reid, provider partnership associate, were recognized for the countless hours of service they have given to the Ronald McDonald House for more than a decade.
The Healthcare Heroes Awards program honors individuals and organizations that are making a significant impact on the quality of healthcare in New Jersey.
On a monthly basis, both women provide and serve meals to families who are staying at two Ronald McDonald House locations in New Jersey at Cooper University Health Care in Camden and Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick.
While the volunteer opportunity is open to all AmeriHealth New Jersey associates and several associates do participate each month, Iman-Sample and Reid are the consistent representatives who lead and coordinate the effort on behalf of AmeriHealth New Jersey on an on-going basis.
“We are very proud to see Koreana and Regina receive much-deserved recognition for their consistent dedication to an incredible cause on behalf of AmeriHealth New Jersey,” said Judith L. Roman, president and CEO of AmeriHealth New Jersey.
The Ronald McDonald House offers a welcoming, supportive environment for families during a time of uncertainty and stress. Family members can stay together in a comfortable home with private rooms and many amenities, helping them to remain strong throughout the course of their child’s treatment.
Healthcare Hero finalists will be honored, and the winner in each category will be announced, during an awards ceremony on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, New Jersey.
