AmeriHealth Advantage plans provide new options for individuals and businesses in Monmouth and Ocean Counties
Cranbury, NJ — December 3, 2015 — Residents and businesses in Monmouth and Ocean counties have another choice when shopping for health insurance this year. AmeriHealth New Jersey today announced that its AmeriHealth Advantage plans are available for purchase both on and off the Individual and SHOP Marketplaces during the current Open Enrollment Period.
Earlier this year, AmeriHealth New Jersey collaborated with Meridian Health to offer the AmeriHealth Advantage plan to self-funded businesses in Monmouth and Ocean counties. This latest offering is an expansion of that plan.
“The AmeriHealth Advantage plan is another example of how we are dedicated to providing a wide-range of competitively priced options to New Jersey residents,” said Mike Munoz, senior vice president of sales and marketing for AmeriHealth New Jersey. “We are excited to collaborate with Meridian Health in offering individuals and businesses in Monmouth and Ocean counties more affordable choices that provide access to high quality care.”
Created to be mindful of budgets and provide more choice, the AmeriHealth Advantage plan offers a tiered network option that has lower copays and out-of-pocket costs for members who utilize the Tier 1 network.
Meridian Health is the featured Tier 1 provider in the AmeriHealth Advantage network giving members access to Meridian’s five hospitals, hundreds of physicians and diverse health care services. Physicians that are part of Meridian Health Partners, Meridian’s clinically integrated network, will work together to improve the quality of care while controlling costs. With Meridian’s more than 100 convenient locations throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties, members have access to high quality care, close to home.
Tier 2 provides members with access to AmeriHealth New Jersey’s broader Local Value Network across the entire state.
For the 2016 Open Enrollment period AmeriHealth New Jersey is offering “Advantage” Plans in seven counties, which covers a third of the state: Camden, Gloucester, Burlington, Atlantic, Cape May, Monmouth and Ocean counties.
The plans can be purchased through the Marketplaces, directly through amerhealthnj.com, or through a broker.
